O.T.T. (over the top) by Lia .T is an art/event/design house that Lia founded in Melbourne in 2008. Motivated by the glamorous excess of the 1980s, Lia’s unique designs feature bold patterns, kitsch, striking textures and eye-catching colours. She finds inspiration from Australian emblems such as crocodiles, kangaroos, boomerangs and cane toads. She reinterprets these iconic Australian shapes and gives them a unique twist as she possesses the rare ability to turn monstrous creatures into glamourous fashion items. You can see that inspiration in her 24 carat gold-plated crocodile feet necklaces and earrings. Lia’s background in visual art and gold and silversmithing inform flamboyantly crafted, outrageous pieces and experiences designed for those who like to be daring and turn heads when they walk down the street.
O.T.T by Lia .T designs have been published internationally and nationally in British Vogue, Artichoke magazine, Fallen magazine, Fashion Journal, Fashion Trend, Sunday Herald Sun, The Age, VICE, ABC TV, 1883 magazine UK, Z!nk magazine, NY and on the cover of Swedish magazine Plaza Kvinna.
Lia Tabrah has exhibited extensively across Australia, Asia, UK and Europe. Lia has also developed and curated many solo events and exhibitions including Deb "Spoons" Perry CROC OFF. And most recently large group shows, PATTERNATION and AZARIA bar.
